The Green Lantern is a 2011 superhero movie directed by Martin Campbell. It stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan who is given the task of becoming the new Green Lantern and must save earth from a threat from deep space and one much closer to home.
Sypnosis[]
Hal Jordan is a test pilot who comes across a dying alien named Abin Sur who gives Hal a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe. He is tought by his mentor Sinestro before having to defend the Green Lantern's homeworld of Oa from Legion along with the other Green Lantern's.
